The Firing Line is an existing firearms business established in 1983. The Firing Line does not maintain a retail sales outlet, but offers Quality Firearms appraisals and evaluations for insurance and estate planning purposes. In-state and out-of-state transfers of firearms are also provided.
Pistol-smithing services including complete assembly and dis-assembly and Ultrasonic cleaning and lubrication using the Quandrex Series System.
Proper short and long term firearms storage services are also available.
Formal Appraisals are available for insurance and estate purposes. Photo documentation with certification of values provided.
Evaluations are for those times you wish to establish a value of a firearm for your own knowledge and use. Expecially helpful prior to trade or sale.
We offer in and out of state transfers of firearms. Whether to or from another dealer, we handle all the paperwork exchange. When shipping, all firearms are carefully packaged with necessary documentation and are shipped with both insurance and tracking information.
We will also handle all of your online auction purchases and sales. Effective 10/10/2024, transfer fees including the NYS background check fees for firearms start at $ 35.00 including tax for a firearm.
We offer both short and long term storage of firearms. For those times when you may be moving, relocating, or awaiting approval of a license or supplement. You also have an option for storage in lieu of a local law enforcement agency. We can also coordinate transfer from most local police agencies if they are holding your firearms.
The Firing Line offers basic pistol smithing services including parts installation. trigger services, including parts repair and replacement. Functioning services are also provided.
We work with a network of reputable and qualified individuals and can recommend specialists in long gun repair, engraving, stock replacement and parts fabrication if needed.
NOTE: We no longer provide machining services but can suggest other gunsmith's that do.
In addition to providing some ammunition, The Firing Line will also handle your online ammunition purchases. As of 09/13/2023, transfers fees for ammunition will be $ 6.00 including tax per background check regardless of quantity.

The Beretta 85BB was often referred to as the "Cheetah", as a result of the symbol that appears on the wood grips. This small .380acp caliber firearm features an 8 shot capacity magazine.
